Zusammenfassung:Virtual Reality(VR) is an emerging technology having various applications in entertainment, retail, games, simulations, education, training, healthcare etc. Due to its ability of generating immersive and interactive real-like virtual environments, it can be applied in the field of medical. There is a need to study the future of VR in this field. This paper identifies and studies the literature on the application of Virtual Reality’s potential to treat complex healthcare problems to save a patient’s life. The results show that VR can be used by health practitioners for training or practicing a virtual treatment in complicated/crucial situations. The study suggests that VR in the medical sector has promising potential. We also examined various processes involved in medical application of this technology. The paper lists 13 key application areas of VR in healthcare. The study concludes that in complex situations, VR is a promising technology that would be beneficial in creating reliable and robust healthcare systems.
