Zusammenfassung:The aim of this study was to provide a scientific basis for the effective protection of landscape resources by analysing landscape pattern dynamic change. Based on Landsat remote sensing image sources from three periods in the Dongting Lake area, combined with natural and human influences, the landscape patterns in the Dongting Lake area were analysed. In the past 28 years, the area and quantity of landscape patches in the study area changed significantly: the area ratio of paddy fields, dry land, woodland, open woodland, grassland and water area decreased, while the area ratio of shrubbery, other woodland, construction land and other land increased. Landscape fragmentation and heterogeneity in the study area were high, and landscape patterns had a trend of decentralized development. In addition to the construction land, the shape of patches of other land types did not change significantly and showed a trend of increasing and then decreasing. The landscape pattern structure in the study area had a trend of fragmentation, which indicates ecological vulnerability, but the plaque shape was simple and normal, and ecological recoverability was shown.
