Zusammenfassung:Chemical reactions between As 2 Te 3 and Сr 2 Тe 3 in the As 2 Te 3 –Сr 2 Тe 3 system, which is a quasi-binary section of the As–Cr–Te ternary system, were studied by physicochemical methods (DTA, XRD, microstructure observations, microhardness measurements, and density determinations), and a relevant Т–х diagram was plotted. The As 2 Te 3 –Cr 2 Te 3 system forms one chemical compound, namely, CrAsTe 3 , which melts incongruently at 375°C. Microstructural analysis showed that at room temperature, As 2 Te 3 -base solid solutions extend to 3.5 mol % Cr 2 Te 3 and Cr 2 Te 3 -base solid solutions extend to 5 mol % As 2 Te 3 . The α phase (As 2 Te 3 -base solid solutions) and CrAsТe 3 form a 15 mol % Cr 2 Тe 3 eutectic at 335°С. X-ray diffraction showed that CrAsТe 3 crystallizes in tetragonal crystal system with the unit cell parameters a = 14.246 Å, c  = 5.993 Å, ρ pycn = 6.57 g/cm 3 , ρ x = 6.96 g/cm 3 .
