Zusammenfassung: | An analytical solution for the problem of a vertical electric and magnetic dipole field in an inhomogeneous troposphere over an impedance surface for a trilinear model of a vertical refractivity profile is obtained. The problem is solved in the Cartesian coordinate system. The curvature of Earth is considered in the parabolic approximation. Asymptotic analysis of the characteristic equation roots is performed. It demonstrates that the roots of the horizontal branch of the spectrum of normal waves exist for any gradient of refractivity in the first two sections of a trilinear profile. Restriction to applicability of a parabolic approximation of Earth’s curvature for such problems is found. |
