Zusammenfassung: | In the human body, the feet take the highest amount of pressure while standing. The geometrical balance or equilibrium of the human body’s musculoskeletal system are represented by foot pressure distribution. Correlating the foot pressure distribution with body balance while carrying the load in different postures (carrying load closure to the body and carrying load away from the body) with changes in moment arm. Percentage of foot ratio, foot pressure distribution and balance map of all subjects are measured utilizing Tekscan’s force plate during material handling. Each subject experimented under two cases of standing straight at 00 and initial posture with four conditions of no-load, 6.5 kg, 11.5 kg and 16.5 kg. Results show there is an uneven foot pressure distribution in initial posture when compared with 00, which would affect the body posture, gait and balance. Carrying load away from the body resulted in significant foot pressure distribution changes compared with closure to the body (initial/normal posture). |
