Zusammenfassung:This paper highlights studies of the possibilities of using radar data from the Sentinel- 1 to address forest-inventory targets. Experiments were conducted in pine woods in the Altai pine-forest territory. Growing stock, density, height, and radar-survey parameter interactions were identified on the basis of the experiment findings. According to the found interrelationships of radar survey indicators with the growing stock and density of stands in the winter period, the zoning of the territory of the study area was carried out. Taking into account the stability of the radar data in the winter period, the research results may make it possible to create automated services for determining the growing stock and density of stands with a predominance of pine for forest conditions that are similar to the research area.
