Zusammenfassung:Virtualized acoustical simulations, alongside auralization techniques, can provide valuable insight regarding the acoustical characteristics of 3D environments and have already seen usage in architectural design software. The proposed pipeline builds upon the Sonel Mapping method a stochastic particlebased energy propagation framework. We extend and improve its design by providing an intuitive tool for prototyping simple 3D simulation environments, employing a voxel-based acceleration algorithm, as well as an auralization method which is coupled with a novel approach for estimating sound directionality even in the absence of a direct acoustic path between source and receiver.
