Zusammenfassung:The study was aimed at determining the sufficiency of the data obtained as a result of recording signals in the magnetotelluric sounding method. Based on the analysis of statistical methods and approaches to data processing and the characteristic properties of signals containing correlated and uncorrelated noise, a set of numerical indicators is proposed. These values can be used to assess the sufficiency of the data amount that will be used to obtain geoelectric structure. The key indicator is the coefficient describing the physical compliance of the apparent resistance, depending on the confidence intervals calculated at adjacent frequencies. The confidence intervals and the proposed coefficient can be used to make a decision about the statistical consistency of the gathered data and can be calculated in the data acquisition equipment.
