Automated virtual farming for advanced agriculture using iot

The metamorphosis that Agriculture has undergone over the years has been both surprising and exciting. From the primitive concept of farming to mechanized farming and now to robotic farming the concept of farming is constantly evolving. This paper definesthe concept of Virtual Farming, a prospective outlook into the future of farming, where farming is fully digitized, from the planting to the monitoring to the harvest, through an interconnection of artificial intelligence, cloud technology and internet of things these information are automatically dumped in a mobile app-based service. This paper also summarizes the general workflow of the pro- posed concept based on Intelligent System and Internet of Things, while giving an abridged overview of the agro-tech landscape so far with respect to internet of things and artificial intelligence in farming.
