Comparison of using nano-ZnO and nano-Al2O3 to improve the properties of prepared polymethyl methacrylate denture base
The purpose of this study is to use polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) and dichloromethane for preparing composite materials that can be used in dentures, as well as to investigate their properties. To improve the properties of PMMA resin, nano-ZnO and nano-Al 2 O 3 with various percentages (1%, 1.5%, 2...

with various percentages (1%, 1.5%, 2%, 2.5% and 3%) were added. The mix was selected by laboratory experiments in order to achieve the best properties while also avoiding the formation of cracks. For pure specimens, the ratio of PMMA was 25% and the dichloromethane ratio was 75%. The result showed that density, compressive strength, tensile strength, impact strength and hardness are increased, while porosity and flexural strength are decreased with increasing the additives. Almost for all tests, Al
