Zusammenfassung:	A new phenanthrene, 2,3,7-trihydroxy-4,8-dimethoxyphenanthrene ( 1 ), was isolated from Pleione maculata . Its structure was determined on the basis of NMR (1D and 2D) and HR-ESI-MS data. The new compound was also evaluated for its α -glucosidase inhibitory activity. Compared with the positive control, the new compound even slightly exceeded the effect of acarbose.
