Zusammenfassung: | Partial shading condition (PSC) is one of the criteria that reduce the output power generated by photovoltaic (PV) system. It affects the overall performance and efficiency of standalone and grid-connected PV systems. This paper analyzes the performance of conventional PV configurations such as series (S), series parallel (SP), total cross tied (TCT), bridge link (BL) and honey comb (HC) along with conventional hybrid PV configurations such as series parallel–total cross tied (SP–TCT), bridge link–total cross tied (BL–TCT), honey comb–total cross tied (HC–TCT) and bridge link–honey comb (BL–HC) under different PSC. This paper has also proposed four novel hybrid PV configurations such as alternate-total cross tied–series parallel (A-TCT–SP), alternate-total cross tied–bridge link (A-TCT–BL), alternate-total cross tied–honey comb (A-TCT–HC) and alternate-bridge link–honey comb (A-BL–HC) to mitigate the mismatching loss and to optimize the output power. A detailed analysis of effect of PSC on TCT PV configuration is carried out in this paper. 6 × 6 Conventional, Hybrid and novel hybrid PV array configurations are simulated under different PSC using Matlab/Simulink software. Open-circuit voltage, short-circuit current, maximum output power, maximum current, maximum voltage, mismatching loss, fill factor and efficiency are the parameters that are assessed and compared for conventional and hybrid PV array configurations. |
