Zusammenfassung: | [2] In addition to microneurographic recordings from skeletal muscle sympathetic nerves, circulating catecholamine levels, norepinephrine kinetics, and circulating blood catecholamine levels have all been investigated to learn more about agerelated changes in sympathetic neural function. According to these findings, healthy aging is associated with increased baseline sympathetic nerve activity. Some research was done to study the effects of normal aging using 24-h HRV, defined in terms of five standard timedomain measures (standard deviation of all normal sinus RR intervals) over 24 h examine. Since it is not feasible to record 24 h HRV, this study was undertaken to assess the effect of cardiac sympathovagal activity in healthy males by decades using short-term HRV analysis. Because of its uncertain physiologic importance, the power contained in the VLF band was not quantified. |
