Diffraction of a Monopolar Electromagnetic Pulse on an Ideally Conducting Tape

The problem of the diffraction of a monopolar electromagnetic pulse on an ideally conducting tape is considered by means of a computational experiment. It is shown that the field of diffraction is bipolar, regardless of the polarization of the incident pulse.
