Zusammenfassung:The article considers the concept of "beauty" and defines design as the basic qualitative characteristic of a transport and technological machine. The generalized definitions of terms are given: concept, industrial design, product. On the example of BELAZ dump trucks, an analysis of the formed composition, according to its basic characteristics, is presented. The conclusion is given on the fundamental components that form a harmonious visual image.
