The role of retained austenite on the stress-strain behaviour of chemically patterned steels

Two medium Mn steels with ghost pearlite microstructures and different C contents are compared, to reveal the effect of C on the stress-strain behaviours. Results indicate that with similar mechanical stability of austenite, higher C leads to stronger austenite and TRIPed martensite, thus providing...

Zusammenfassung:Two medium Mn steels with ghost pearlite microstructures and different C contents are compared, to reveal the effect of C on the stress-strain behaviours. Results indicate that with similar mechanical stability of austenite, higher C leads to stronger austenite and TRIPed martensite, thus providing more pronounced strain hardening behaviour.
