Zusammenfassung: | Security is possibly the defining word of the 21st century. This article explores two issues around security and insecurity that have been of concern to geographers: first, whether there can be any positive change in the Global South, when the poorest countries suffer the highest levels of insecurity; and second, how people manage to walk the line between security and insecurity (in/security) in their everyday lives. Ultimately, the article asks what geographers can contribute to the study of in/security. |
