Zusammenfassung:Anthonomus mali Kojima et Morimoto, 1994, known formerly only from Japan, was found in the orchards on Sakhalin Island in the late 1960s. A key is given for differentiation of this potential pest of the apple-trees in the south of the Russian Far East from A. rubi (Hbst.), the nominotypical subspecies (lacking elytral pattern) of which does not occur in the Far East.
