Study of 99Mo and long-lived impurities produced through (p, x) reactions in the natMo

Zusammenfassung:Using the stack-foil activation technique, excitation functions were measured for (p, x) reactions on Monat target. The target was irradiated with a proton beam of 17 MeV kinetic energy. Along with the medically important radioisotopes Mo99/Tc99m we studied other long-lived radio-impurities produced in the target. Cross sections of all the produced radioisotopes from Monat(p,x) reactions are compared with the available literature data, which show good agreement. •Proton induced reaction on natMo using stack foil activation method.•Study of long-lived radioactive impurities in natMo(p,x) reactions.•Comparison of experimental results with the available data base.
