Daptonema paramonovi sp. n. (Nematoda, Monhysterida) from a Mangrove Habitat in Vietnam

An illustrated description of a new species of the free-living marine nematode, Daptonema paramonovi Phan Ke Long, Nguyen Dinh Tu et Gagarin sp. n., found in a mangrove forest in Vietnam, is given. In body size, D. paramonovi sp. n. is close to D. elongatum Gagarin et Nguyen Thi Thu 2008, D. communis Gagarin et Nguyen Vu Thanh 2014 and D. rectangulatum Pastor de Ward 1985, but shows a different shape of the pharyngostoma and a different structure of the gubernaculum. In the new species, the pharyngostoma is larger and consists of two departments. In the three species compared, the pharyngostoma is small and funnel-shaped. The male gubernaculum of the new species is in the form of a simple gutter. The male gubernacula of the species compared are complex, consisting of the main body and claw-shaped dorsal processes.
