“Molybdenum disulfide is one of the family of 2D materials. It is a semiconductor in its most stable form and has attracted wide interest in a range of applications ranging from photovoltaics to nano‐filtration. Here we describe the assembly of MoS2 films at the liquid|liquid interface, and use ion transfer voltammetry to gain some insight on the structure of these films, with a specific aim of applying this knowledge to the desalination process…“ Learn more about the story behind the research featured on the front cover in this issue's Cover Profile.
