Zusammenfassung:The land resources may be degraded due to various causes, such as demolition of land for mining processes, accelerated erosion, or other activities that cause land system imbalances. Some problems that may occur on degraded land are decreases in the qualities of physical, chemical, and biological soil properties, which may become an obstacle in producing healthy food. The use of degraded land is intended for the cultivation of non-edible crops, such as biofor mass energy production. The purpose of this study was how to utilize degraded land by producing biomass energy for developing renewable energy. To develop biomass-based renewable energy requires planning from the upstream to downstream sectors. The upstream sector consists of identifies the potential and problems of land, rainfall pattern, selecting species and cultivation of bioenergy crops, and harvesting products. The upstream sector is the industrial system and the utilization of biomass energy products. The biomass energy production system can be sustainable, it requires the implementation of a harmony supply chain system.
