Zusammenfassung: | We present the first palaeogeographic reconstitution of eastern Algerian alpine foreland during the Middle to Late Jurassic time by using sedimentological and paleotectonic evolution of the area. Fieldwork consists of five synthetic sections. It’s supported by a new microfauna collection completed by the results of previous works allowing correlations. The sedimentological analysis of the sections shows eight (08) typical microfacies (MFT1-8) grouped into five associations developed in the shallow marine domain and subdivided in individualized micro basins as swells separated by pelagic carbonate platforms (PCP) and sub-emerged resistant platforms as archs. These paleogeographical structures are controlled by N70 and N120 faults. |
