Zusammenfassung:Carbon nanotetrahedron/ribbon structures formed via flattening of multi-walled carbon nanotubes were processed using a focused electron beam to reveal the morphological stability of the isolated carbon nanotetrahedra. The carbon nanotetrahedra maintained their shape, even after being isolated from adjoining nanoribbons. The results provide evidence that the morphology of the carbon nanotetrahedra is intrinsically stable.
