Zusammenfassung: | Optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) of quartz obtained from ceramics, concrete, and soil has been studied extensively for its use in retrospective dosimetry. The OSL properties of quartz separated from surface soil of different parts of India were investigated for its application as a retrospective dosimeter. Different parameters such as recuperation, recycling ratio, equivalent dose plateau, and relevant to single-aliquot regenerative protocol were investigated. The dose recovery tests were also performed. These studies show that the soil samples can be used for dose evaluation during any radiation accident. |
