Zusammenfassung:Low birth weight may be associated with health risk factors, such as hypertension, diabetes and dyslipidemia, which may lead to cardiovascular disease in adulthood. The authors reinforce this hypothesis in this study with various measurements of blood elements in young adults born with low birth weight caused mainly by maternal infections, one of the causes of infertility in Gabon. Results are discussed.
