Zusammenfassung: | This paper discusses cold sink drawing for production of square-cross-section pipe/tube and the effect that billet material has on the energy and power parameters describing the drawing process and on the billet drawing speed. Pipe/tube made from L63 brass, 10 steel, and VT1–0 technical-grade titanium were considered. We develop a computer model with an objective description of the actual process, and performed a full-scale experiment that verified the computer model was appropriate and reproduced the results of the mathematical simulation. The mathematical simulation was performed using the ANSYS and DEFORM finite-element software packages. This study resulted in process recommendations for process equipment users and developers that can be used to predict drawing results. |
