Zusammenfassung: | To obtain new lead compounds with potent antimicrobial and antioxidant activities, new indole analogs containing various heterocyclic moieties were synthesized by a rapid, facile, eco-friendly, cost-effective, and efficient method under microwave irradiation. Their structures were determined on the basis of their spectral and elemental analysis data. The compounds were evaluated for their in vitro antimicrobial and antioxidant activities. Some of the compounds revealed good antimicrobial and antioxidant activities. The structure–activity relationship (SAR) study revealed that the most active are compounds containing a substituent at the 5-position of indole. |
