Zusammenfassung: | Arsinoquinolines, being heavier pnictogen‐substituted aminoquinoline analogues, have been used as bidentate ligands. However, they have never been studied as luminophore, though luminescent aminoquinolines are well known. In this work, seven kinds of arsinoquinolines, in which a diphenylarsino group are substituted at all the possible substitution positions of quinoline, were synthesized by using a non‐volatile arsenic precursor. The obtained arsinoquinolines showed phosphorescence at 77 K, and the emission properties in the solid states were dependent on the substitution position of the diphenylarsino group.
Arsinoquinolines were newly developed as a novel class of phosphorescence luminogens. Effective intersystem crossing was achieved by combination of n–π* transition and heavy‐atom effect with quinoline and arsenic, respectively. |
