Zusammenfassung:Composites with a layered structure are fabricated by a solid-phase technology using diffusion welding of stacks made of molybdenum foils with single- and double-sided (Si–C) coatings at a pressure of 10–14 MPa and a temperature of 1500°C. The structure of the composites is studied. The strength of the composites is 300 MPa at 1450°C, and the fracture toughness is 21 MPa m 1/2 at room temperature.
