Zusammenfassung: | Addressed in the present paper are the options to test an internal combustion engine on a designed and constructed hydraulic dynamometer. Hydraulic dynamometers combine high power ratings with a low moment of inertia and in case of high power ratings they are a good alternative to other braking systems. Extensively discussed is the option to load the dynamometer through a valve creating backpressure at the outlet. Reviewed, additionally, is also the option to measure the load with a pressure gauge and engine-dynamometer system resilience. Derived, accordingly, are the dependences of the dynamometer load control. Obtained, subsequently, is the dependence for optimizing the shape of the backpressure valve. The extensive experimental research into the issue under discussion proves conclusively that the system hereto proposed can be successfully applied in car repair shops. |
