Zusammenfassung:The aim of the research is to study the effect of heavy elements on the concentration of some plant nutrients . This research was to investigated the effect of treating soil with cadmium with concentrations 3, 6, 9 and copper with concentrations 80, 150 and 180 mg/kg soil on fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum) and spinach (Spinacia oleracea L.) plants. The results showed that the treatment of soil with heavy metals led to a significant decrease in the sodium concentration in the shoot and root of the fenugreek and spinach plants. The lowest concentration of sodium appeared in the shoot and it was (0.077) mg / kg and the root it reached (0.068) mg / g in the spinach plant when the soil was treated with Cd at the concentration of 9 mg / kg soil. As the lowest potassium concentration appeared in the shoot in the spinach plant when treating the soil with cadmium at concentrations 9 mg/kg of soil and in the root when treating the soil with copper at a concentration of 180 mg/kg of soil, but rather (2.000) mg / g. It was also observed that there was a decrease in the concentration of chloride in the shoot and root of spinach, specifically when treating the soil with copper at the concentration of 180 mg/kg of soil as it reached (0.089) mg / g. in the shoot and in the root (0.085) mg / g. compared to the comparison treatment. Finally, we recommend further study on the effect of heavy elements on other nutrients that are important for plant growth .
