Zusammenfassung: | In the 21st century, academic libraries continue their transition from warehouses of information to laboratories of knowledge creation. This case study examines the disconnect between the assessment by academic library users of what library resources and services are important and their lack of use of those resources and services. Focus group interviews with selected target populations explore differences based on level of study and discipline. The key finding is the importance of the library as place and what resources and services contribute to a library's sense of place. |
