PAPR Reduction in OFDM-based Visible Light Communication Systems Using a Combination of Novel Peak-value Feedback Algorithm and Genetic Algorithm

We propose an enhanced partial transmit sequence technique based on novel peak-value feedback algorithm and genetic algorithm (GAPFA-PTS) to reduce peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signals in visible light communication (VLC) systems(VLC-OFDM)....

Zusammenfassung:We propose an enhanced partial transmit sequence technique based on novel peak-value feedback algorithm and genetic algorithm (GAPFA-PTS) to reduce peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signals in visible light communication (VLC) systems(VLC-OFDM). To demonstrate the advantages of our proposed algorithm, we analyze the flow of proposed technique and compare the performances with other techniques through MATLAB simulation. The results show that GAPFA-PTS technique achieves a significant improvement in PAPR reduction while maintaining low bit error rate (BER) and low complexity in VLC-OFDM systems.
