Surface-oxidized nanoporous Pd (SO NP Pd) catalyst was prepared easily from nanoporous Pd, which was dealloyed from a NiPdP glass. 1,3-Diynes were synthesized in high to excellent yields through the homocoupling of terminal acetylenes using SO NP Pd prepared at 250 °C in air. The presence of Pd (II) in the surface-oxidized layer was crucial for the homocoupling reaction of terminal alkynes. |
