Zusammenfassung:Conclusions: The PG residents of the department of physiology were able to acquire adequate knowledge in the theoretical part of renal and cardiovascular physiology following self-directive learning sessions conducted using technological assistance. The educational goals of using technology in medical education include facilitating basic knowledge acquisition, improving decision making, enhancement of perceptual variation, improving skill coordination, practicing for rare or critical events, learning team training, and improving psychomotor skills. [3] In medical education, simulations, virtual patients, and e-learning have evolved as pedagogical strategies to facilitate learner-centered active teaching approach. The theoretical portions of renal and cardiovascular physiology were taught in this period and the PG students were encouraged to learn actively during these sessions because if a person listens or sees, he forgets, but if he actively participates in the teaching-learning process, he remembers much more as compared to the passive learning process.
