Zusammenfassung: | Comments on the original article by Amanvermez et al. (see record 2021-75478-001) regarding stress management interventions for college students. The results obtained by Amanvermez et al. (2020), which we were invited to comment on, strengthen the hypothesis that the answer to our title's question is yes. However, diverse theoretical–conceptual approaches, analysis of different events, and the use of multiple measuring instruments are predominant features of the production of knowledge and practices in thematic fields that involve psychosocial aspects. Thus, Amanvermez et al. (2020) developed efforts to gather studies on the same theme (stress, anxiety, and depression management interventions), promoting a comparison of the results obtained. Our commentary focuses on Amanvermez et al. (2020) article, which discusses the effects of stress management interventions on reducing stress, depression, and anxiety among college students. It should be noted that the review considered studies in two groups of students (i.e., one with high levels of stress and the other with an unselected population), which is important for the determination of the intervention effect in these different groups. It is evident in our opinion that Amanvermez et al.’s (2020) review is thought-provoking and important. The discussion and tentative conclusions in the review article may be helpful for new researches and for the guidance of professionals, and even students, in delivering the most effective interventions for stress, anxiety, and depression. We will briefly discuss some of the many implications of this review: burden of stress, anxiety, and depression on public health and the importance of psychological intervention to college students.
