Study of the potassium bromide surface after laser effects using x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy

The surface of KBr crystals outside and in the crater was examined using an x-ray photoelectron spectrometer (XPS). The comparative analysis of the XPS spectra showed that high-intensity laser irradiation has a significant impact on state and composition of the ionic crystal surface.
