Zusammenfassung: | The electrophoretic displays (EPDs) with the benefits of zero energy cost when maintaining colored or colorless state, widely view angle and friend reading etc., have been grafted attentions. To verify the cell gap effects in the EPDs device, the scientists have been puzzled by the multiple processes frequently leading to uncontrollable errors and the necessity of precision equipment. In this paper, we demonstrated a facile method to fabricate the EPDs with tunable cell gap intermediator resulting from mixing the different diameters particles. The rapid and facile fabricated product performance can be rapid and facile compared and verified with the presupposed simulation. An ultrathin EPD adopting the rigid ITO as the transparent electrodes and the e‐ink mixing with 3 μm diameters PS particles as the display layer have been demonstrated. The contrast ratio and the response time have been measured to analyze the relationship between the cell gap distance and the simulation result. Moreover, the facile method can be expanded for the physicochemical properties' researches on the cell gap effect. And this is also desirable to rapid fabricate other devices, such as the electrowetting, the electrochromic etc., with the tunable cell gap intermediator. |
