Zusammenfassung:The radiant heating facilities based on tungsten halogen lamps are frequently used for high-temperature materials experimental study and aerospace hot structures functional testing. The ease of maintenance and operation as well as the relatively low cost and high efficiency are the main advantages of halogen lamps as a heating source. However, the significant disadvantage of halogen lamps is the limitation of the facility operating temperature. It could not exceed 1500 K due to the tungsten-halogen cycle disruption. Current paper investigates the feasibility of the facility operating temperature expansion up to 2000 K by means of the lamps cooling with a compressed air flow. The mathematical simulation of a complex heat transfer in the facility operating area was performed. The design-layout schemes for several facilities were proposed. The modelling results proved the performance of the proposed design-layout schemes.
