Zusammenfassung:Inland waters potentially contain vast quantities of microplastics (MPs), being tropical ecosystems in developing countries possibly subjected to continuous and uncontrolled plastic waste disposal. This study reports on the intake of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) MPs by a small-sized tropical freshwater microcrustacean.
