Results: Of the participants, 45.0% exhibited physical prefrailty. Binary logistic regression analysis identified that vitamin C intake below EAR (OR, 7.12; 95% CI, 1.47-34.41, p=0.014) was the only factor associated with physical prefrailty. Conclusions: In addition to measuring physical function, dietary surveys and evaluation of nutritional adequacy by DRIs are expected to be useful for the early prevention of physical prefrailty by linking to nutrition education among community-dwelling Japanese elderly adults. |
