Zusammenfassung:Examples of implementation of single- and double-engine differential electric drives are given. The choice of a differential electric drive for inoculation in modern electrical complexes and systems has been substantiated. The choice of a planetary gear with a variable kinematic diagram as a differential section has been justified. This paper contains functional and kinematic diagrams of implementation of differential electric drives, along with the detailed description of their operating principle and control system. Variants of implementation of a starter–generator based on single- and double-engine differential electric drives are given. Kinematic diagrams of switching on the given variants of differential electric drivers, providing the basic modes of operation of the starter–generator are considered. Mathematical descriptions of the differential planetary gear and of the main links of the differential electric drive are given (the equation of speeds, the equation of moments, the equation of the electric motor, the constraint equation). It is shown that, within multiply connected control systems based on differential electric drives, it is advisable to implement the generator and starter of an industrial vehicle in an electromechanical converter; therefore, there is no need to force the parameters of electrical machines, power supplies, or mechanical branches of the complex.
