Zusammenfassung:The zone of contact interaction between a tool and a workpiece during the shaping of longitudinal grooves on the inner cylindrical surface of tubular products has been studied. It has been established that the occurrence of seizure during the shaping of longitudinal grooves is most strongly influenced by the degree of plastic strain in the processed material. The level of maximum contact stresses in the zone of contact between a tool and a machined product has been established by finite-element calculation as ranged from 5σ 0.2 (3.15 GPa) to 10.8σ 0.2 (6.5 GPa).
