Zusammenfassung:Monoammonium phosphate removal from the low-concentration solution resulted from phosphate-based fertilizers production was experimentally studied in a laboratory scale three-chamber electromembrane setup. Through the use of electrodialysis process for treatment of monoammonium phosphate solutions it was possible to obtain more concentrated salt solution and desalted water suitable for industrial application. Influence of the basic operating parameters on the monoammonium phosphate recovery efficiency was evaluated. A mathematical model of electrodialysis for a setup with circulating flows was developed. Comparison between the calculated and experimental data showed that the mathematical model proposed allows reliably predicting the content of monoammonium phosphate in the concentrate.
