Zusammenfassung:Since their inception, computing and information technologies have played an important role in solving the problems facing the nuclear industry. Methods of mathematical modeling are widely used in the design of nuclear reactors; the study of the properties of materials, including their radiation resistance; the study of nuclear safety issues; and the design of nuclear power plants. Information technologies are also in demand in modeling laser thermonuclear fusion processes. Particular attention is paid to the application of high-performance computing systems and high-performance computing algorithms in basic and applied research.
