Zusammenfassung: | Tumor immunology is one of the most promising fields in cancer research. Tumor specific immune responses are commonly documented in cancer patients, as when: the tumor mass is frequently infiltrated with mononuclear cells, these one of tumor specific cytotoxic T lymphocytes and natural killer cells, an altered pattern of major histocompability complex class I and II molecules is observed on the surface of the tumor cells. The aim of the study was as certain the correlation between inflammatory stromal reaction and local lymphocyte presence in early advanced node negative cervical cancer. The study group consisted of 49 patients with FIGO stage Ia2-IIa cervical cancer treated by radical hysterectomy with pelvic lympha- denectomy performed in Department of Gynecology, Obstetrics and Oncology Jagiellonian University. In all cases patients agreement was received. Inflammatory stroma reaction and lymphocytes infiltrating tumor matrix were detected in H&E specimens and lymphocytes infiltrating tumor matrix by immunophenotyping correlation between tumor stage, disease free survival, inflammatory stroma reaction and presence of lymphocytes were evaluated. To analize of study results statistics methods were used. Inflammatory reaction were encountered in 39 (79%) of 49 cases. Among them 18 cases(46.15%) inflammatory stroma reaction was rated 111, 16 patients (41.03%) 11, 5 cases (12.8%) 1. No relationship between stage of cancer and inflamatory reaction was found. The lymphocytes infiltrating tumor matrix were mainly T-cells first of all helper/inducer T cells. This is free survival rate correleted with high inflammatory stroma reaction and higher count of tumor infiltrating T lymphocytes. |
