Zusammenfassung:Aim: The aim of this study is to investigate utilizability of serum IGF-1, IGFBP-3 and leptin levels in preoperative benign-malign differentiation in patients with ovarian tumors. Materials and Methods: 76 patients with pelvic mass diagnosis who are hospitalized in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of Er- ciyes University Medical Faculty between November 2003 and December 2004, and 35 women who applied to the department on those days are included in this study. By studying IGF-1, IGFBP-3, leptin, and CA-125 levels in serum samples taken from all of the patients preoperatively, were evaluated according to postoperative hystopathology results. Findings: According to postoperative hystopathology results, the patients were divided into malign (31), benign (41) and control (35) groups.
