ENERGY RESOLUTION AND EFFICIENCY OF THE SCINTILLATION DETECTOR VERSUS PULSE EVOLUTION TIME

The dependence of the energy resolution and scintillation detector efficiency on the amplitude pulse evolution time is studied for the case of cosmic muons. Zusammenfassung:The dependence of the energy resolution and scintillation detector efficiency on the amplitude pulse evolution time is studied for the case of cosmic muons. It is found that the energy resolution can be improved due to the timing to a fast or slow pulse evolution component with detection efficiency loss. At the point of ~11 ns from the pulse evolution beginning, the energy resolution of the studied detector improved by ~24%, the detection efficiency decreased by ~28%.
