INDICADORES DE AVALIAÇÃO PARA MELHORIA DO DESEMPENHO SUSTENTÁVEL EM ORGANIZAÇÕES RURAIS: UM ESTUDO DE CASO

ABSTRACT The study seeks to identify how a set of indicators for assessing economic, social and ecological sustainability can assist in the sustainable performance of a rural organization, located in the Northwest region of the State of Rio Grande do Sul. For this purpose, dimensions and constructs of Martins and Cándido (2008) and Oliveira (2007) for the elaboration of indicators for the analysis of the economic, social and ecological dimensions in the sustainable performance of the consumption, trade and general activities of the analyzed rural organization. The work method was a descriptive research, being a case study based on quantitative data collected through documentary research, observation and survey with the organization's owner. The social dimensions (0.32) and the ecological dimensions (0.53), contributed to a lesser extent, since the ecological issues the organization is unsustainable and the social dimension was verified the intermediate sustainability, which refers to an imminent need of concern with these two dimensions mainly aiming at the balance of the three dimensions, economic, ecological and social.
